Celebrating Kenny!

Monday is hubby's birthday! He will be 48 years old! Good grief, time sure passes fast when you are having fun! I met him when he was a mere 14 years old. He sported a beard even at that young age. I thought he was sooooo mature.... wow! I had no idea how much he had left to do at that time!

Anyway, he says it is his birthday celebration weekend. Each meal therefore is his birthday dinner (or breakfast, or lunch) and must be exciting. If that is all the man wants, who could argue with that? I ordered him a turntable that converts vinyl and cassette into CD's. Sadly, it has not arrived yet and today I will have to run out and find something else to give him. We will probably go out tomorrow to Roadhouse for steaks and come home for dessert. I will make him his favorite dessert (Coconut Cake) and have the kids over for a birthday celebration, tomorrow.

Guess what? Not much time for Art lately, though I do have a couple of projects "in progress". I started out making a photo collage for my Mom for Mothers Day, but decided to keep it for myself instead. I may make her one as well and my daughter says that she wants a set. I am also working on a Birth Announcement for my newest little cousin, Abbie. She was born at 24 weeks. She has been bathed in prayer since before she was born and is making steadily good progress. That is what prayer can do!

Many changes in our immediate family lately, coupled with a fair amount of drama. I am prayerful that it will all work out for the best. The past week or so has been busy with these kinds of issues and that really takes from my creative energy. Hopefully I will be back in the saddle this weekend and can finish up and start some new cool art pieces!
